Standalone Conversion UPDATED SOON

While using the OEM Ecu with a piggyback like Nistune may be easier for the most people, it has a lot of drawbacks:

-Not as Flexible: Still uses unnecessarily and confusing OEM functions
-Low Resolution Maps

-Restricted to use a MAF
-No custom functions
-No custom Sensors
-Final Costs about what a standalone costs
-Almost no Diagnostic
-NO BOOST CONTROL

On this page i will show you how to convert your CA18DET S13 to use an Ecumaster Classic Standalone

The following wiring schematic shows what needs (and should) be to modified.
Not everything may be necessary to your install.

ECU Pinout Example:
Injector 1: ECU CONNECTOR PIN 101, now EcuMaster G7

Remove Plug from Idle Switch and connect it to your Intake Air Temperature Sensor.
I used the Plug from my A/C Idle Valve since it wont be used anymore (Even non-A/C Cars have it, its just not used)
Plug it into your Intake Piping before throttle plate, or drill and tap it into the plenum.

Modification 1+2: We now use the Ignition Switch to turn on the ECCS (ECU) Relay. We need to connect the other side of the relay coil to ground now.
Modification 3: It just makes more sense to connect them together, also makes them only turn on when the car is starting/running.
Modification 4: A Pullup Resistor is needed to make the ECU be able to use the Neutral Switch.
Modification 5: Flyback diodes are needed for PWM Control of the Solenoids.
Modification 6: The Resistor pack isnt needed for new High Impedance Injectors.
Modifications  3,7,8 are not necessary but will make everything more reliable and make sure your ignition switch will last longer.

ALSO:  forgot to include it in the picture but you can remove the Ignition Driver when using modern COP´s
There are pictures on the "Upgrades" page

Knock sensor and O2 should use new Wires.
